Hey there,
I don't know much about SSAS, but this is an issue that we're trying to find a fix for asap. PowerPivot databases are being dynamically created and taking up heaps of memory that we need to free. At this point, the only solution I can find is to restart.. we already do this twice a day outside of business hours, but without restarting during business hours, we have 2 GB+ memory used by the end of the day.
Is there any way we can potentially set a threshold (around 2 GB or less) of memory usage, forcing PowerPivot refreshes to overwrite rather than add to the memory blocking. Again, we're trying to avoid having to restart the server to purge the DBs. Ideally,
a max threshold of memory allocation setting that as it approaches that threshold, it would start freeing up existing memory.
Thanks in advance,
Jarrod
