ROWSET ACTION OLEDB expression to get a data source connection

I would like to access SQL2012 server from a cube SSAS2012 using a row set action. I have found several similar posts on how to accomplish this for example http://geekswithblogs.net/darrengosbell/archive/2009/06/18/ssas-executing-arbitrary-sql-queries.aspx. These all include the SQL Server connection string in the call. It does not make sense to repeat this in every action and then have to change all of them when the server moves. Is there a SSAS expression syntax that will provide the connection string from a specified data source?

Another way might be an expression that contains something that the C# code could use to access via AMO the cube and pull out the connection string.

Since the C# is so trivial perhaps a separate C# module for each cube and then only this module has to change when the source server changes?

Has anybody got a good solution for this?

Thanks

Tom G.
