After following the steps from this site
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj938164.aspx I am still
unable to configure the EffectiveUserName Functionality.
The situation is this;
I am trying to create a SSAS Filter web part with a .ODC file connection that points to a SSAS 2012 Tabular
model and connection file works correcting when used in Excel. The file connection is stored in a trusted
data connection library and everything has been configured per the instructions from the above link.
However when I set the connection for the SSAS Filter web part by setting it to A SharePoint Data connection
Library, and scrolling to my .ODC connection file, I receive an error
"The connection either timed out or was lost." When I perform this action in conjunction with running a
SQL Server Profile Trace on my SSAS machine two Audit Logins show up in the trace however the credentials
being used are Anonymous. Which would lead me to believe the connection is being attempted however the
effectiveusername isn't passing the authenticated user from SharePoint into the connection credentials for
the SSAS connection.
Anyone experienced something like this before? Is there something needed that isn't part of the documentation from above?
Thanks
AA
