Hi all,
I'm encountering the following problem while building a pivot table in Excel 2010 connected to an OLAP source:
any time I select or deselect an item within a dimension of the cube, the folder or hierarchy group containing it collapses. This is an annoying problem because if the folder contains 20 items and I need to select 10 of them, every time I select one it collapses, so I'm forced to expand the folder and search for the next item.
This problem happens ONLY with the translated items: let's say that the default language is English and an Italian translation is available; using a Windows environment in which the default system language is set to English, the measures and dimensions are visualized in English and the Excel Pivot Table can be built correctly (the folders simply don't collapse). Instead, if the system language is set to Italian (measures and dimensions displayed in Italian), the folders keep collapsing every single time an item is selected.
I tried to keep only one dimension visible (ie. Date set to visible false, Consumption set to visible false and Shift set to visible TRUE) to see what happened: the result is that it works properly (it doesn't collapse ... regardless the language).
I spent almost 3 days trying to solve this problem with no results and I didn't find any info regarding it on the web.
I don't know if my question is clear enough, please don't hesitate on asking me to be more comprehensible.
Hope someone can help.
Thanks in advanced,
Gabriel
