Cell Security and Performance Issue

Hi

I have been searching the internet for the last 3 hours on the performance issue I have with the write-back cell security.

I have a cube with 5 measures. 2 of them requires a write-back ability.  I noticed that you must set 'read/write' permission under 'Cell Data' Tab in a role to be able to write as well make the cube access 'Read/Write'. Then I must also set permissions for 'Read' as well.

I applied two measures  under 'Enable read/write permissions' and three measures under 'Enable read permissions' using the following MDX.

[Measures].CurrentMember IS [Measures].[Measure Name1] or [Measures].CurrentMember IS [Measures].[Measure Name2]

using the admin account, I had not much issue in navigating the cube in Excel 2010 and do some write-backs but as soon as I used one of user accounts, the performance is significantly slow...  it is just too slow for users to use it.

There is one thing I'd like to test but couldn't because i am not sure how to write MDX.

I wanted to see the performance if I make all measures rewritable. What would a simple statement I can use instead of using 'OR'?

By the way, I have found that some articles talking about the performance issues relating to cell security but not been able to find a proper solution for it.

Is there any guide or reference I can look at? I will keep on seraching the net.. but if someone can pinpoint where to look, that would be brilliant!

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards

Mark
